Painterly cinematography allows Uzak to sometimes slow so far as to take on the guise of a classic movie still. The cousins’ failed relationship, their distance from and failure to connect with others is well painted. But light on content, the story might have been better captured in a single frame.
A ponderous 7 out of 10.
