SubscribeIan of Spinneyhead has reminded me that I really should have mentioned Hooray for Jollywood! when talking about the Mancunian Film Company as this is the closest will ever get to a definitive history and it’s being republished later this year. Hooray! Also I’ve been reminded that the Cameo Operas, that appear so unique to Mancunian, are not a million miles away from the incredibly successful Sing-a-long-a shows. Perhaps John E was ahead of his time after all.
