With so much groundbreaking animation hitting our screens, the Corpse Bride’s wow factor is sadly muted and the film proves that technology is not enough. The story is thin and the poor musical numbers feel like padding. There’s certainly not enough happening to keep kids entertained and nothing to stimulate adults either.
A boring three out of ten.

Broken Flowers……Factotum (A Man Who Performs Many Jobs)
The photo shows Victor and Victoria, the main characters from the living. These puppets were used in the filming of Corpse Bride and form part of a collection of models and sketches currently (and exclusively) on show at Cornerhouse. They were made by local puppet makers Mackinnon & Saunders from Tim Burton’s original sketches (some of which are also on show). It really is a fascinating exhibition.
