Volver: Films reviewed in 50 words-ish

Almodóvar’s voyeuristic style helps but Volver, in common with his other films, is a little silly. Amusing to begin with it, it threatens to bore (though the largely Spanish audience loved it). A funny little fantasy, that’s not quite fantastic enough.
A not-so-bad 5 out of 10.
Director: Pedro Almodóvar……Starring: Penélope Cruz
Miami Vice……X-Men 3: The Last Stand
