Amazon Gift Vouchers & Gift Certificates: READER OFFER

Still looking for that last minute Christmas gift? Maybe a friend or relative is unfortunate enough to have a birthday over the festive season and you’re decent enough not to be one of those who say: ‘…and that’s for your birthday too!’

Whatever the case an Amazon Gift Certificate (okay, that’s an Americanism: Amazon Gift Voucher if you’re British) is just what you’re looking for. That’s right: gifts via Amazon bought with a gift certificate. An Amazon Gift Certificate takes the form of a special code delivered by email, that lets the object of your generosity select their own gift. What a fantastic idea!

Amazon Gift Certificates are much like old fashioned paper gift vouchers, so much so that paper Amazon Gift Certificates can look just like gift vouchers: proper real world cards delivered by post are an option (although this close to Christmas, electronic distribution may be best). You decide how much the certificate or voucher is to be worth and that’s how much the person you’re buying for can spend at Amazon on a gift from you. It could be a book, music, DVD, some electronic gadget, toys for the kiddies (the gift certificate or voucher may even be sent to a kiddie) or something for the home or garden.

Now here’s the big decision. Should it be an Amazon.com Gift Certificate or an Amazon.co.uk Gift Voucher? You decide (it all depends on where the recipient lives):

Reader offers & paid-for links

Many businesses offer payment to those who link to them and paid-for links are often used here in preference to free links. While such links are not as obvious as other forms of pay-per-click advertising, they still don’t influence views expressed. Entries labelled ‘Reader Offer’ are advertising promotions.
