Popping out for a DVD has always been a spontaneous thing for us, so Blockbuster’s contined decline is rather disappointing. The range has evaporated along with the customers, which means we’ll soon be renting online and will have to plan our viewing months in advance.

But at least there are plenty of offers on munchies, though not on Revels today.

The last time I came across Revels they were being enjoyed by a couple of older ladies sat behind me at the Lowry waiting for the History Boys. Their exchange could have been scripted by Alan Bennett himself:
