Arles is a great little town in which to spend an afternoon, although we arrived in time to take in the market where Katharine bought a bag (why?) and I got a very practical French cowboy / Cezanne hat. Then we ate strawberries in the park.
Arles offers a nice juxtaposition of Ancient Roman and Vincent Van Gogh trails.
Here Katharine captures Arenes, the Roman Amphitheatre. Earlier we visited the garden at Espace Van Gogh, formerlly the Hotel-Dieu hospital, which has been restored to how it was when the artist stayed there.
