Wimbledon lets not such a windfall

It’s Wimbledon time again and along with all the stories about strawberries and cream, is stuff about how much you can let your house out to a tennis superstar for: up to £7,000 a week.

But it’s unlikely that’s a great a deal as it looks. That kind of income is almost certainly going to find its way into house buyers’ calculations and see them bidding up the property prices accordingly, which almost makes abandoning your home to strangers for two weeks of the year an obligation.
