Control: films reviewed in 50 words-ish

The most beautifully photographed film you’ll see this year, Control counters the comedy of 24 Hour Party People with inevitably harsh realism. Ian Curtis’s is revealed as a model tortured genius, isolated by illness and torn apart by a success that has yet to be fully realised.
A special 10 out of 10.
Director: Anton Corbijn……Starring: Samantha Morton……Sam Riley
Mr Brooks……It’s a Free World

One graffito on “Control: films reviewed in 50 words-ish”

  1. Miles says:

It’s good but I wouldn’t go to ten.
I love the device of black and white. That is how we saw the rest of the world then.
And some of the photography is ace.
    But its so bleak.
I prefer 24 Hour Party People.
