Diane Oxberry: subversive weather girl

There’s something subversive about North West Tonight weather presenter, Diane Oxberry. First she suggested looking outside the window to see if it’s raining – hey! Isn’t that her job! – now she’s wearing a pink top with orange skirt. And that’s typical of her fashion sense. Compare that with Helen Willetts who takes coordination to the extreme. Not only do her outfits match, but her lipstick always matches her top and, on colder days, her girly-girl gloves.

Could this refusal to conform be the reason Diane’s on regional TV while Helen’s dominating the national scene?
