Films in 50 words-ish: The Hours

Buy it!An extremely perceptive portrayal of the depressed, that owes most to the appropriately detached performances. Subtly scripted, but with some great one-liners, this film is brave enough not to compromise with those who might find such an approach cold or demand explanation. Yet, it retains mainstream appeal.
