Male mid-life crises and forbidden love may be well trodden ground, but Lost in Translation served it up fresh and amusing all the same. Not a radical film, but certainly an intelligent one; watchable and well worth watching. Sure the Japanese were appeared a little stereotyped, but isn’t everyone we don’t understand?
A warm 7.5 out of 10.
