Labour won’t miss the Sun

The Sun’s declaring for the Tories will lead many to declare, ‘I never knew they were Labour,’ so half-hearted was the tabloid’s support. Support from the Sun has always been cynical, with the Tories unelectable they wanted to be seen backing a winner.

In Scotland the Sun will not go blue… the locals wouldn’t stand for it.

Key Labour successes like the minimum wage and investment in the NHS were achieved in the face of opposition from the Sun, which has published much populist nonsense on issues like immigration and given succour to the far right.

Few Labour supporters will miss being able to count the Sun as their newspaper.
