Maria’s simple motivation (money Vs poverty), is easy to understand, but her romantic decision to remain stateside is not. Undeveloped, the references to Catholicism mislead.
An okay 6 out of ten.

Her decision to remain stateside seemed clear enough – the existance of basic healthcare, better jobs and greater life chances for her baby. I didn’t get why she was released either though.
