Well, as I pointed out in my OWN Amazon.com review, this book was written by Mullholland in response to a book written by U.S. rock critic Dave Marsh called THE HEART OF ROCK & SOUL, wherein he put in his fave 1001 singles. Both books express purpose is to challenge the alubm-rock mentality in rock criticism. Now, if somebody can only challenge the MALE hegomy of rock criticism…..
